Grapevine Tablecloth

Grapevine Table Cloth 2016-04-06

Grapevine Tablecloth with ipad for size comparison

This table cloth is if not the largest, this is at least the second largest of my vintage linens.  If I stitched a leaf/grape bunch/vine segment a day this would take me 58 days.  It may not have been the best choice to help me work my way through my linens in a timely fashion, but it was late and it was the only project where I was fairly certain of what I wanted to do with it.

Grapevine Color Swaps 2016-04-06

The original colors were a bit bright for my tastes.  Substituting DMC 3835, 550, 890 and 469 gave me a more subdued palette.  Hopefully this will be finished for fall.

  5. Thanks. So many people are really good at color substitutions, but I’ve little practice and get nervous about it.

  6. Oh, this is so lovely! I think your substituted colours are much nicer, too.
