Blue Edges

pillowcase trimming for edging2016-03-12 001

My # 8 Perle cotton showed up the day I posted about “Blossoms in Cross-stitch” .  First, a quick trimming away of the extra fabric beyond the hemstitching was necessary.

One skein of perle cotton later (there were leftovers) and I had completed the edging as suggested in the pattern.  The pattern began at the first row, which was single crochet and picot stitches followed by two more rows.    The blue is a good match and looks nice, but of course I wonder how green or white would look.
