Snuggly Snowy Sweater Leggings

Sweater Leggings

These go with the last sweater dress or either of the flannel tunics that Old Navy sold as dresses or anything really.  I used a pair of jeans to determine the crotch length, adding an inch for the elastic casing at the waist and cut along the sleeve seam on each sleeve to that point.  One leg was  then placed inside the other with RS facing and the crotch was sewn up.  The extra inch was folded down and zigzagged in place with elastic inserted before sewing the last couple of inches closed.  These leggings look particularly good when made from a cableknit sweater, but can be made from any long sleeve sweater or sweatshirt.
